Google Testing Desktop Voice App

Google products such as Docs, Apps, Wave, and Voice continue to grow in popularity and functionality. So it is no suprise that TechCrunch is reporting that Google is in the process of testing a desktop app for Voice. While voice is a useful product, it lacks the ability to call out or use the PC as a phone as services like Skype offer.

The technology for this app most likely is derived from Goggles aquisitian of Gizmo5 and their voip technology. According to TechCrunch, the app will be able to send and receive calls from the desktop as well calls to other phones.

Release of the app is unknown at this time, but look for it in the future.
