Nvidia is Giving 3D in the Home a Jump Start

3D has been around for a while in theaters and CE manufacturers have been talking about it and showing for a few years now, but it has not quite made it to homes yet.  Nvidia has announced software that will be available next year to support the release of 3D PC monitors.  This is good news for the format as it is a good starting point with 3D being a technology that is desired for gaming.

With this being attached to Blu Ray, user who watch Blu Ray on their PC will most likely be using it for movie watching as well.  This will give a leg up for the push to make it a home theater staple like surround sound is in both standard and High Definition formats.
